Dr. Kevin Murphy is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, hip, elbow and ankle.
Dr. Murphy is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was a starter on the varsity football team. He earned his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed a Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at the prestigious Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia.
Dr. Murphy is retiring from the Army after spending the last 10 years at Walter Reed Medical Center, where he was the Chief Orthopaedics as well as the Director of Sports Medicine. Dr. Murphy was also the Orthopaedic Consultant to The White House and to The Pentagon.
Dr. Murphy is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Olympic Sports Medicine Society. He is a lecturer and instructor for other orthopaedic surgeons in the field of arthroscopy, and is a nationally recognized expert in hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow arthroscopy.
